She had learnt things while being in this household that show the limits on what she could do. See, she couldn't clean because Ev does that and if a dish is in the wrong drawer then he does the whole telekinesis thing which trips her out. Then if you go to Xzavier's DVD collection you find yourself scarred by the titles of pornos. So she was kind of limited right now so she sat in her room, music on, on her laptop and chatting to old friends in what used to be her life. She wasn't happy with her past, but she missed some of it. Being at school and recieving either smiles or deathstares, being captain of the squad and knowing nearly everyone. Now, she walked down the halls and people can barely remember her name. She was apart of the squad at least but far away from being a captain and trying to get to know people in LA was like fishing in a swimming pool. It was hard, but she chatted to old flames for a while. But that was when she found it.
Scrolling down her news feed on Facebook, she saw it. A memorial status from Shaundra; one of her old friend's mothers. And by friend, she meant fairy. Poppie had died yesturday and by what the comments said it seemed like murder. They got her. Lana was fortunate to not have been caught yet, and as she looked at the screen, the negativity towards her past came back. Her lip turned as she cried, sitting up to put a hand to her eye. Poppie was the chipper freshmen that everyone got a long with. She wasn't good, but she had spirit. Lana always said hi. Now she was dead, and Lana breathed heavily in sobs, trying to keep it in. She had to be strong. It was her past, she had to dismiss it. Shutting the laptop, she rose from her bed and down the hall to the bathroom. Grabbing some toilet paper, she dabbed her eyes as she looked in the mirror, her hair curled and hanging over her shoulders. She wasn't that girl anymore.
CRACK! Spinning towards the door, she was surprised not to get whiplash. What the hell was that? Looking at the door, it sounded like something downstairs. The boys were off hunting, and wouldn't be home for hours. What was going on? Walking out of the bathroom, she wasn't stupid. She checked up the hall but all the doors were open. Walking out, the light being the only light down the hall as walked. Stealthly creeping down, she realized how stupid she was. "God, Lana. You're just on edge. You will be - fine...". Moving down the stairs, she stampered down. If a dish or something fell off of the sink, she should clean it. If Ev freaked, then he could stick it. But looking into the kitchen, there was nothing. What was it then? Turning, she walked into the living room and then she saw it.
Glass glistened off the floor as she looked to the window. A hole was punched through, and it was left open. Confused, she walked towards it to close it. Slamming it closed, she looked at the hole again. Someone had broken in, but Lana wanted to deny being scarred. Turning, she stood against the wall as she looked. She had view of the foyer and the kitchen, two entrances that she could watch. Taking a leap of faith, she called. "Hello?".

She was behind on schedule. She knew that, and so did Farra. Emery didn’t realize that Farra would be rising so soon. It was annoying. Six years ago, Farra had come to Emery in her dreams while she was hospitalized from being brutally beat by the man she thought loved her. And when Farra offered her a way out and a way of survival, Emery took it, for a price of course. Farra would continuously come to Emery in her dreams and give her assignments, people or demons to kill while Farra was ‘unable to get to the phone’ so to speak. Emery did so without any hesitation, not only because she never went back on a deal, but because she actually enjoyed the killing sprees that she would get to go on. But when Farra mentioned the Trinity Brothers a month back, Emery wasn’t sure how to deal with that one. Surely Farra had other plans because what Emery had heard about these boys was that they were dangerous, and most demons were afraid of them. It was only a few days before that Emery had seen Farra in person. And of course that first time was the worst. Emery was scolded for not doing what she was told in regards to the Trinity Brothers, but finding these guys was much more difficult than she had first anticipated. But she was trying, she really was. She got a job at Bloodlust and had been working there for about a month to get the inside scoop about who these trinity brothers really were. Demons tended to talk when they were around other demons. She had killed some guy for his very expensive house in the middle of town, so she had excess to everything. She even investigated the UCLA campus where she found Thayer who was now staying with her, although that one she wasn’t going to tell Farra about. She had her own plans for Thayer when the time was right. She just had to build him up to where she wanted him.
But now, she was on the right track. She had heard one of the regulars at Bloodlust talking about a house in a specific neighborhood that possibly housed two of the trinity brothers. So, she decided to take the night off from Bloodlust and check it out. So, here she was staring at the house from across the street. Perfect. It looked like no one was home. She really wasn’t in the mood for attacking them if she didn’t even know what kind of abilities they had. She knew they were witches, but that was as far as her knowledge of them went.
Emery glanced down both sides of the street before making her way across the street to the house. It wasn’t that large. It was normal sized for a middle class family. Emery wondered if they lived with anyone else or if it was just the two brothers. Who knew, maybe the demon she heard the information from was just full of shit, and this was all just a waste of her time. She sure hoped not.
As she peered through the window, she could tell that the first floor was at least empty. It was dark inside, and she didn’t see the faint like from up the stairs on the second floor. Without any hesitation, Emery clenched her fist and thrust it forward smashing through the window. Once the window was broken, she was able to reach around and unlatch it to open the window. There was no way she was going to risk scratching her entire body up by breaking open the rest of the window and climbing through. Emery pushed open the window and crawled in. Once in the room, she peered around the room trying to get a feel for where she was. It looked like she had broken in through the living room.
Before she could even start snooping, she realized that she was not the only one in the house. She could hear the floor creaking overhead. Someone was upstairs. Emery wished she had some sort of night vision. Too bad Farra never gave her that too. She quickly moved through the dark just as she could hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Emery ducked into a room on the opposite side of the living room. She pressed her back up against the wall and waited to hear something that could give her a hint of who her possible assailant would be.
The footsteps had stopped in the living room for a few seconds, and then Emery could hear them walking across the living room to the window that she had broken in through. A few seconds later, the person in the room decided to speak. When Emery heard the persons voice, she was a bit disappointed. It was a woman’s voice. It was good that it wasn’t a trinity brother, so Emery didn’t have to worry about having to ward off one of them just yet. But it also meant that this was possibly not the house of the trinity brothers. Emery sighed as she stepped out of the room revealing herself. She put her hands on her hips and glanced over at the blonde girl. “Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t realize anyone was home.” She said with a merciless grin.

Now on edge to the max, she looked out into the house. The view to the foyer was bear, and the darkness of the entrance to the hallways was eery. Perfect timing for some psycho with an axe to charge through, but walking towards the centre of the room, she stopped. On instinct, she grabbed for a candle sconce and held it firmly as she waited. In her mind, she kind of tried to deny that someone broke in. But it was true, the glass on the floor confirmed that. And when the girl's figure showed itself in the darkness, Lana's heart jumped. Spooky.. Lana wasn't sure what to do? All her life it was training, not actually fighting things that could rip out your intestines and strangle you with them. Looking at them, she still held the object as the woman appoligized. Whatever!
"Yeah, well my cousins are out right now. But point of advice, normal people use the door. Others break in to another person's home". Taking a step back, she held the metal in her fingers. She didn't know what this woman was going to do, but she wasn't going to be the victim. Not without a fight at least. Even if it was a criminal which would be highly unlikely, it was wrong. Nothing about this situation was really right at all. All she knew she was scared and had to do something, so she did what any other teenage girl in dangerous situation would do; and ran. Without warning, she darted across the room and through the doorway to the kitchen. Silver shining converse shoes slapped on the ground as she swung into the kitchen. Passing the benches, she made her way towards the front door.
She stopped. She couldn't leave because who knows what would happen to the house. She just had to hide and call her cousins and everything would be okay. Right? Turning, she breathed heavily as she went towards the staircase. She jumped over the couch in a high leap, her foot touching the end as she landed with a thud. She had the strength and agility kinda to fight, but she was to scared. So she shot towards the staircase, but unknowing for what would happen to her...

Emery watched the girl as her knuckles turned white around the metal candle sconce. She listened as the girl said something about cousins. In that moment, Emery knew that leaving this house wasn’t an option until she found out who these cousins were. It was a possibility that they were just some random people who weren’t important to Emery at all living with this girl. But they could also easily be the trinity brothers. “Yeah, well, I’m not normal people.” Just as those words came out of Emery’s mouth, the girl bolted across the room and through the kitchen door frame. Emery didn’t hesitate to follow her. If this girl was the cousin of the trinity brothers, there had to be things that she would know about them that would be helpful to Emery and her demon god’s plans.
When Emery finally caught up to her, the girl had attempted to jump over the couch but failed and was now lying on the wooden floor. Emery glanced from the girl to the staircase which seemed to be her next move. The girl scrambled to her feet and shot towards the stairs. Emery dodged at the girl throwing her arm out to grab at her ankle before she could make it up the stairs. Emery fell to the floor as she yanked on the girl’s ankle hoping to pull her down with her. She wasn’t going to let her get away. If anything, she would do what she had to to make this girl talk. Besides, she hadn’t killed someone in a while and those urges were coming out. Why not use them tonight. This girl seemed scared, which meant that she was helpless. If she was a part of the trinity brothers’ family, the powers must have completely skipped her.

All she had t do was make it up stairs and lock herself in her room. Whoever or whatever she was wouldn't be able to get her then; hopefully. She just had to be careful and she had already fell. Even if this chick did catch up, she was a friggin fairy. More then that she was a hunter, and also had cheerleading practise. Getting in the way of her round-off is like being hit by a bull. Running up stairs, she was scared half to death when she heard footsteps banging behind her. She screamed in fear as she trotted up the stairs but then she felt a hand grip at her ankle and pull. Her scream was interrupted as she fell. And she fell hard. She grunted as she hit the steps, her chest and arms banging against the wooden steps. It hurt like hell, but she wasn't stopping there. Lana slid down the staircase, banging on each step as she swung to the side.
It was an attempt to get the girl to let go, but it just got her into more pain. Kicking, she hit something but then fell to the side. She screamed once more as she fell through the side. Lana felt her body smash through the wooden railings of the staircase, he body flopping through. Wood scratched over her arms as she toppled forwards, landing on a wooden table next to the steps. She just rolled straight off and onto the ground, but was away fro the demon-chick at least. She moaned in pain as she flicked her head up, splinters having made small scratches over her cheeks and forehead as she tried to find a way to get away. She now felt like shit, and gripping onto the table with tattered hands, she rose to her feet breathing heavily, wanting to get away. "You - - bitch!". Grabbing a piece of wood off of the ground, she turned and swung it towards the girl, grunting as she did it.

As Emery fell hitting the stairs closer to the bottom of the staircase, she let go of the girl’s leg letting herself slide down the rest of the way. But just as she began pushing herself up, the girl’s foot smacked into her face as the girl was apparently trying to stop herself from falling the rest of the way. The impact was so intense that it knocked Emery backward away from the stairs. Emery winced as she flew back onto the wooden floor.
Emery groaned as she rolled herself over looking back at the girl who was now falling through the side of the stairs and crashing into the wooden table next to the staircase. Emery was able to push herself up gripping her chin to make sure it was still there. Her whole face was numb due to the powerful kick that was sent her way just seconds before. She was almost positive that after a fall like that, the girl would be completely out, and she’d now have to wait for her to wake the fuck up enough to actually talk to her. But once Emery was on her feet again, she glanced over at the girl and couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She was actually standing up. Emery snorted. “Not bad,” she said more to herself than anyone in particular. Emery could hear the girl’s insult, and she smiled shrugging slightly. “Okay, I can deal with…” Emery began but was cut off as the girl spun around with a piece of wood. The wood connected with her shoulder scraping across it and colliding with her face. The wood completely broke in half as Emery went down immediately.
Emery hadn’t been knocked out, but she was in a daze for a few seconds. She was pretty sure that if it wasn’t dark in the room already, everything would be black anyways. Either that or she’d be seeing stars. She grabbed for her arm first noticing right away that the leather of her black blazer had definitely been torn. She could also feel the trickle of blood sliding down her face. She wasn’t sure where the wood had actually hit because the whole right side of her face was on fire.
After a few seconds of collecting herself, she rolled onto her stomach and pushed herself up into a crawling position. From there she rose, her dark waves clinging to her face where the blood was smeared. She breathed listening for any noises that would give her clues as to where the girl had gone. Who knows, she could have still been in the room with her somewhere. She was still a bit dazed to be able to adjust back to the darkness surrounding her. Her expectations of this fight were wrongly assumed. Maybe this girl did receive some of the Trinity abilities whatever they may be because Emery was pretty sure that if a human were to smack her in the face with a piece of wood, the blow wouldn’t have had that much force behind it. This chick was strong. A hell of a lot stronger than Emery first thought. It was fine with Emery. She could use a good challenge. It would just make the killing part so much more rewarding.

Lana felt a burst of relief when the piece of wood connected with the girl's face. It was strong, and as soon as it hit she felt like she had an upperhand. Even though she was bleeding over her face and arms, and felt bruising over most of her body. Lana followed through and felt the piece of wood smash over the table, knocking it onto its side as shards of wood scattered across the ground. She had dropped this chick like a bad habit, and Lana still felt so scared. Was she dead? Had she gone too far? The logic was covered by the fear and Lana then turned, limping down the hall. Looking down to her leg, she realized a long piece of wood was penetrating out of her leg, blood dripping off of the wood. A tear came from her eye as she gripped at the wood, leaning against the wall. A piercing scream escaped her lips as she ripped the wood out of her leg, dropping to the floor while sliding down the wall, crying out loud. She could barely handle the pain as blood covered her palms. Gritting down, she then looked to the side ad saw woman starting to stir.
Worriedly, Lana tried to rise. Stabbing the piece of wood into the wall, it stuck hard as she used it to pull herself up. She grunted in pain as she pulled herself to her feet, limping on her left. Holding onto the wall, she tried to hobble across as he looked at the foyer and had to get to the front door. She hoped forwards and then fell, smashing into the ground once again. It felt like her leg was unable to operate properly, like it was useless at the moment as she tried to make it too the door. "Help....". She gulped out loud as she gritted her teeth and clawed at the ground to pull herself across. She was so scared, so raged and so hurt all at the same time. "Help Me! Someone!".......
"HELP!".....

It didn’t take long for Emery to hear something break into the wall in the other room allowing her to pin point exactly where the girl had crawled off too. She smirked when she heard the sound of painful grunting coming from the girl. It had been too long since she killed someone, and boy was she getting the urges. She’d been so wrapped up in her plans for Thayer that she had completely forgotten about her own personal needs. Emery caught site of her and slowly followed behind her watching her struggle to stand to only crumble to the floor yet again.
Emery could taste the blood in her mouth where the piece of wood had cracked against her face. She spit it out onto the hard wood floor but knew no matter how many times she got rid of the excess blood gushing into her mouth, it would just keep coming unless she healed the wounds this little bitch had given her. She didn’t even bother wiping the corner of her mouth where she knew the blood was at. She was too busy deciding if she wanted to continue this fight or end it by getting the questions she wanted answered. Emery stared down at her as she attempted to pull herself across the floor towards the front door. She could hear the word ‘help’ escape the girl’s lips, but it was too quiet for anyone other than the two of them to hear.
Emery bent down grabbing onto the ankle of the leg that was drenched in blood. “Oh, no. You aren’t going anywhere. We haven’t even started the good stuff yet. Well, good stuff for me anyways. I doubt being tortured will be fun for you.” She yanked pulling her along farther away from the front door and back into the living room. Once they were in the living room again, Emery knelt down next to the girl gripping her neck and lifting her up enough so that she had a good grasp on the girl. Emery gritted her teeth as she spoke. “Okay, so enough kicking and wooden planks smacking my pretty little face. You will tell me what I want to know, or I will kill you. See how simple this is?”
