The muddy puddles below him made a deafening splash as he stepped over one of them, trying to find an escape from the heavy rain. It had just happened suddenly, so suddenly that he didn't even notice the water begin to shower over the resturant. He had decided to eat out tonight, more specifically, try out the famous Los Angeles tacos. And they were definantly amazing, he could say that much. He was always a fan of tacos, but the tacos he ate in that resturant topped all of his taco-eating memories, for sure. He was still just trying to work out how his amazing taco-eating experience led him to be showered down by an incoming storm. His hair was all wet, his wax dripping down his face along with the trickling water. He wasted a bit of the wax drip down on his lip, causing him to wipe his mouth with his sleeve.
He hurried foward, accidentally bumping into a passer-by along the way. What was with him and bumping into people lately? It was almost as if it was meant to happen, or something. He turned quickly, with a brief "sorry" before returning his gaze to his destination at large; back to the university dorm. He was beginning to wonder why he kept finding himself venturing out into the darkening night, especially in a town like this. He knew he could protect himself, but he seemed to just love the thrilling and adventurous atmosphere which doesn't wasn't around during the day. Oh, and it appeared he also loved being slaughtered by a heavy shower of water now, too.
He jogged softly off of the road and into one of the streets, which he quickly noticed was rather abandoned. He gathered everyone was already smart enough, or rather quick enough, to get inside to safety and a warm shelter. He begun to feel a presence nearby as he continued down, rather similar in nature to the one he felt when he was walking down the alley, where he encountered the strange stalker man. This momentary distraction caused him to slip on a puddle, falling face first into the hard pavement. He got up to his knees slowly, moving his hand across his forehead to reveal blood on his hands, from a cut he had obviously just recieved. He sighed, getting to his feet and brushing off the more embarassing than painful experience.
He moved foward, more slowly this time to avoid any more falls, until he saw a shadowy figure in the near distance. He wiped his face, gathering too much water was in his eyes, but his eyes weren't decieving him. He looked behind him curiously, then turned back to front only to see that the shadow figure wasn't there anymore. He looked behind him again and there was a strange man behind him, causing his entire body to jolt in surprise, causing him to fall down to the ground. "You are him," the mysterious man stated. "She's expecting you." Axel looked confusedly up at the man. "I am who? Who is expecting me, who are you...What is going on?! What do you want from me?" He crawled backwards slowly, but the man grabbed his arm and threw him back up to his feet with such power and force, startling Axel. "You know who you are, but we don't need them, we just need you. Your sacrifice will be all that is needed." Axel was once again looking up at him confused. "Sacrifice?! Let go of me!" He tried tugging at the man's arm but he was too powerful. How could he be so powerful?

One hour earlier.....
Her hand was extended towards him. A silk glove covered delicate curved digits that shook with his, his fangs baring slightly through his lips as he spoke. The words couldn't be heard, but what they were saying wasn't important at the moment. The following actions spoke louder then words. Brown clean-cut hair covered his head, perfect sideburns that framed pale and flawless skin. Nothing was wrong with his appearance, but you could see the darkness inside. It was pitch black, and a black aura shone around him. Magic made you see some amazing things sometimes, but the woman was now gone in a car.
-FLASH-
Rain fell hard on the ground, creating puddles on the crusted grounds of LA. The lights of the restaurant shined into his eyes, but he couldn't squint. All he could do was watch. Some guy moved quickly down the streets. In the darkness he couldn't concentrate. From the eyes of the clean cut darkness he could see him watching him. It wasn't a hunger that they were feeling, it was an exhilaration. It was the instincts of a predator mixed with the fear of a kitten wrapped up into one. He was intimidated by this guy as they coursed down a street. The fiend watched, and it wasn't long when at an incredible speed he appeared. The words sacrifice hit the air but words weren't heard. The guy was terrified, but the darkness just looked down at him. sacrifice ....... Sacrifice ........ SACRIFICE ........
-FLASH-
In a drenched state of sweat he shot up. The light from the candles in the room glistened the sweat over his body. In only boxers, he breathed so hard he thought he was going to pass out. He didn't have time to recover though. The details were more suceptable even though he saw auras and heard whispers in his vision, but he could feel the timing. He didn't have much of it to save the guy from the vamp. He jumped out of bed and grabbed from a hoody and swung it up and over his head. It stuck to his body slightly but he didn't care. Throwing on some jeans and converse sneakers, he charged out of the house. He didn't care if he was speeding in his car now because he had to get to that restaurant before anything happened.
Pulling up badly, he jumped out of the car. Rain fell on him as he cast the hood over his head so he could see. Standing under the shelter, he watched as the guy came from the restaurant and hurried. Ev kept his distance as he walked through a back alley quickly, keeping an eye on him from the other side but not to close that the guy could tell he was following. Then suddenly a buzzing came from his pocket. It was Xzavier! He didn't tell him what was up, but one vamp he could handle. Also at this moment he was too tense to care. Looking back up, he ran through the rain to catch up to the guy. Then he saw it. His heart nearly stopped as he charged towards them. The innocent was confused, not knowing what this guy wanted with him. Ev had to hurry the hell up now. Now he needed a spell.
"Hercula - Vespos Manta". In a sprint, Ev shook his hands vigorously. As he shook them, golden sparks fell from his finger tips. He was summoning the powers of ancient spirits of Olympus to gift him with energized power. Temporary but it was hopefully going to pack a punch. The coven used it a few days ago when they energized themselves and used there essence to power the whole dorm building for five minutes in a black out. Success much! Running though, he got to them. Quickly, he moved and placed a hand over and onto the vampire's chest. Golden bolts shocked him as the vamp soared to the ground and rolled to a halt. Ev was slightly doubting it would work. His hands discharged as he grabbed the guys arm. "God, are you okay? Get out of here now". Turning, Ev spotted the vampire rising. Fangs bared, it was now really really pissed. Ev had to pull something out of his ass in order to kill this one, but he had a stake in the back of his pants if he could get close enough.

His entire body tensed up as he felt the powerful man grip his arm. He had never experienced anything like this, it was so surreal, he didn't know what was going on. Then to add to the confusion, his eyes blurred, causing him to block out the now bright light which was blinding his eyes. All he could see was light, nothing else. He felt the grip on his arms loosen, until he couldn't feel a grip at all. What had happened? He really wasn't sure, it all happened so fast that he couldn't keep up or comprehend anything. He sensed someone else was nearby; how he sensed someone else was here, he really wasn't sure. All he new was that this wasn't normal, something that seemed to be occuring a lot lately since his arrival in Los Angeles.
The light faded until his eyes reverted back to normal again and he could see his surroundings. He now saw another man, and felt him gripping him by the arm, telling him to run. Everything was so overwhelming, he almost couldn't believe it was happening, especially to him. He wiped the water off of his face, looking up at the man who had apparently rescued him, how, he didn't know. He nodded, before taking off in the other direction. He took a glance back when he was far enough away, noticing that another vampire had surfaced, approaching the man who had saved him slowly from behind. He didn't know what he should do...He couldn't just leave the man to fend them off himself, could he? He knew nothing about this man, but these people were strong, and it was two against one. No one could beat those odds easily, could they?
He sighed, probably hating himself for what he was about to get into, but he couldn't help reckless behaviour, it was apart of him. He ran back, tackling the approaching vampire from behind. He begun to think that it had hurt him more than it had hurt the man. He groaned softly, as he slowly got back to his feet, as did the other man, much faster. He glanced over at the other man, who was a lot closer to him now. He noticed a piece of wood in his pocket, so quickly grabbed it and held it out to the men. "Sorry, but I think I need it more than you do, huh?" He looked down at the weapon he was holding, noticing it was a wooden stake. cyan]"Huh?" He looked at the man curiously, and shockingly, wondering why he was carrying about a wooden stake in his pocket. Before he could recieve, or even ask, the question he was punched in the head by one of the vampires. Ouch. He thought he broke his nose.

Ev was happy he wasn't going to have to resort to pressure to get this guy to leave. He shouldn't leave on his own though. If he let him go and this vamp had backup, he wouldn't know what to do. But then again - maybe this vampire ran solo. The guy ran, and Ev was going to be able to take care of this vampire uninterrupted and with full attention. Even though he was a bit worried, but it wasn't the first time he had gone up against a vampire without the watchful eye of his brother. In this situation, he had to think tactics. He couldn't just smash it into the wall and stake it. No, he had to think of someway to use his own powers against it. If the coven was here, they would sort something out quick. Mystic chains of Hecate or Hydrokinetics of Poseidon. He was alone now though, but right now magic wasn't going to cut it. He had to go to some unliked, hand-to-hand violence.
The vampire inched closer, not extremely close but in kicking range. Ev grunted as he kicked towards the vampire and kicked it in the gut. It didn't hurt it that much, but forced it backwards while he tried to sort something out. The kick was hard, but the vampire wasn't backing down. "Another brother I see. This was - unexpected". Spit came from the fanged mouth of the vamp as it snarled at him. It puzzled him slightly because 'another'. Had he gone up against Xzavier too then? Was Xzav in trouble? "Huh?" Ev's train of thought was derailed by the swinging fist of the vampire. It punched Ev across the face, forcing a grunt out of him as he swung to the side. Vampires really were strong sons of bitches. With his back turned, he then felt the stake being removed from his back. The vampire was getting and upper hand by taking his weapon. But no, it was the guy he was supposed to save.
He had half a mind to get rid of him, force him to leave again. He couldn't let the guy get hurt. But with the stake in his hand, he was going up against the vampire. Like Ev, he would have been as confused as he was when he first killed a vampire. Stabbing someone in the heart? It sounded psychotic and he was prepared to send his brother to loony bin when he taught him. But a stake to the heart has saved his life on many occasions, it just wasn't exactly his favorite method to use all the time. "Stab it in the heart!". Ev commanded the guy as the vampire came at him. But swinging his head back to the vampire, he glared at it. Time for some high-ranked magic that would leave him feeling drained later.
Telekinesis wasn't easy. Two years ago when the coven first started using it, he could move maybe a pencil across the table. Later on it became a book. A year of practice it became a chair or a door. Now, it was just useful sometimes. He couldn't lift cars or destroy people with the blink of a thought, but he could do this. The vampire shot backwards across the ground and hit the wall. He grunted in pain as he looked at Everette. Ev smirked slightly, concentrating on keeping the telekinetic hold on the vampire. It could move but was stuck, and Ev moved towards it. He wanted to interrogate it, find out what it wanted with the kid. But he couldn't, he didn't have time. The psychic hold was breaking, and Ev had to do something. So moving his gaze, he shot the vampire into a dumpster and it smashed into it. The dumpster moved forwards slightly as it fell to the ground. Witch-fu! Turning, he looked to the innocent guy to see how he was holding up.

He held the stake, moreso as a defensive manuover than an offensive one. But as the other man commanded, Axel gasped, completely stunned. "In the heart?! What is wrong with you, I'm no killer!" Just the thought of stabbing the man, evil or not, in the head was sickening. He couldn't murder anyone, there was always another way out of things, there always was. He wasn't going to be like this other guy, who apparently killed people, from the way he was commanding, he sounded quite natural in saying it too. But he couldn't be attacking the morales of this man at the moment, as a man was about to attack him with his fists. Not good, he didn't even think he was ready for it. After being punched the first time, which hurt a lot more than he remembered, he managed to somehow avoid another punch by throwing the stake at the man's head, just to get the sharp wooden weapon away from him, especially to avoid stabbing him in the heart or something, which was very brutual.
He was quickly knocked to the ground again, and before he could get to his feet, he realized he wasn't being attacked again or jumped on. Strange? He also heard a large bang, and he jumped up, startled, to see one of the men crashed into the dumpster. Brutal. But how the hell did that happen? The man who saved him, was bigger than he was, but he didn't look in no way strong enough to cause damage as impactful as that. Maybe the guy just had a lot of secrets Axel was unaware of, or something like that anyway. He watched on as the other man begun to flee, leaving his comrade behind. He didn't leave without screaming "this isn't over! She has bigger plans for you two yet!" Huh? He looked at the other man questionably. "Thanks for the help...Not so much for the brutal attack methods...I don't know what kind of fights you are involved in, but they aren't the ones I'm used to...I don't want any trouble." He begun walking away from the man, not sure why all these occurances kept happening lately. He did want to ask the man what they meant by 'shes got bigger plans' and for both of them? Why were they suddenly linked together in this? There were a lot of unanswered things which this man might have answers too, but he felt like from what he saw, this man was just as much trouble as they are. He did save him though, or unless that was also part of some psychotic plan.

The dry sky sank into his skin. Feet planted on the ground, waiting for the predator to come. Xzavier stood by his side, watching with crossed arms and in a super-macho stance. He told Ev to go for the heart, handing him a stake. He remembered how disgusted he was. Looking at Xzavier like he was nuts. To stab someone in the heart with a piece of wood was animalistic and like a caveman, not with morals or reasoning. If keeping up the family legacy and a supposed destiny entitled stabbing things with sticks, then he didn't want to do it. But at the end of the night as Ev was held against a tree by his neck, the stake entered the demon's chest. It burst into ash, and then he understood; it wasn't a human. It was impure and evil and was not supposed to be alive. He learnt that, but what about this kid.
He questioned when Ev gave it too him like it was a cruel joke. It wasn't hard for Ev now to stab a vamp, but it would be hard for someone that was probably so exchilirated by what was happening to be able to think straight. He fought off the vamp but the guy couldn't do it, and handling this vamp was hard enough. He had knocked it down with telekinesis, but it rose again. It looked at him with a snarl, but a step forwards sent another telekinetic hit at the vampire as it fell flat on its ass again. Magic really did come in use alot when it came to hunting. The other vamp fleed, the guy got the upper hand. It was pretty good for a normal dude. The vampire moved slowly on the ground as he walked towards the guy slightly.
"Wait-". The guy was walking off and he could stop him. Could he just tell him that vampires had attacked, that they were not in a brawl but a life or death situation. Or maybe even that it was fate for Ev to save the guy because he had foreseen it. He couldn't put this kind of burden on someoen that didn't need it. The guy kept moving, but then Ev looked to his side. The vampire was about to rise but then Ev grabbed the stake from the ground and rushed up towards him. At this point he was emulating Xzavier, being aggressive and direct and held the stake up in a stabbing like fashion. Looking down at it, he needed answers. "Who do you work for? Who was 'she'? How did she know about me? Talk!". The vampire looked up at him and smiled evilly. It pissed Ev off more.
Before a word could be released, the vampire quickly gripped onto Ev's hand and drove the stake into him. The vampire screamed as it burst into dust, disappearing as Ev stepped back. It taught him one thing. That whoever 'she' was, she was powerful enough to have beings sacrifice themselves to not betray her. Either she was very manipulative or she was very powerful. Either way, she he had to find out who it was. But now his only lead was dead and was no closer to figuring out what is going on. "Damn it". Taking a few steps back, he decided to leave the alley as he slowly walked out and back into the rain with thoughts buzzing around in his head.

He paused as he heard another bang, looking back with a gasp to see the man who attacked him on the floor again, so quickly. He stared for a moment as the man who had rescued him had begun interrogating the man on the floor. He heard the questions, but no answers. Then he saw the man on the floor scream in pain and turn to dust! What?! How was that even possible?! He clasped his mouth in complete horror and shock, not even sure how any of this, especially that, was in any way possible. He was in a dream, right? He would wake up shortly and laugh about how shit scared he had become for the first time in his life. But shortly seemed like a very long time, making it seem like this was no dream at all. It had to be, right?!
He moved back slowly, in complete shock, beginning to run around the corner of the street and into an alley, just needing to get away from everyone and everything to process what had happened. His heart was racing one hundred miles an hour, possibly even more. How does someone see something like that and react to it?! Without looking, he continued down, before he saw a truck pull up out of nowhere. Bizarre. Strange men soon got out of the truck, with their faces greatly disfigured. He gasped, louder this time, as they came towards him. He decided to run off down the street, but which way? Back to the man who had rescued him, yet just as easily killed someone, or down into the wilderness where he would be alone, not knowing where he was going? Before he could make a decision, he stumbled, and not long after he felt great force against him as the men had caught up to him, almost too quickly. "Hey! Get off me! Hey! I didn't do anything, what do you want with me?! I didn't do anything!" He screamed, but screaming wasn't going to help him. He tried struggling, still yelling into the echoing sky for help, which he deep down knew wasn't going to show. It was then that it sunk in, if something happened to him, he had no one. No one knew or cared what happened to him. Apart from this guys, for some reason.
Somehow in the struggle, his wallet had fallen out of his pocket, as it wasn't slipped in too tightly anyway. He had more pressing matters to be worried about, anyway. He continued struggling, but the men were too powerful. "Shut up," one of the approaching men commanded at him, before punching him hard in the head. And that was all he remembered, everything else was a blur as he was shoved into the van, and the van drove off into the night.
[Thought I'd start the kidnapping plot where Axel is kidnapped, possibly by Selene's henchmen or some vampire]

Frustration surged through him. For a moment he thought about going all Xzavier and punching the wall. For some strange reason vampires were getting sent after this guy and the only way of finding out who it was or what they wanted was a vampire. They just staked themselves and now all hope was lost. Ev watched the vampiric dust turn to mud as drops hit the pile from above. Ev turned away from it as he heard the slapping of foot to puddle from behind. The guy he had saved was running away in fear. He had seen what had happened. No wonder he was so scared. He was running through the wet darkness and maybe the supernatural hadn't finished with him tonight. Worryingly Ev started running after him. He made his way down the alley before running into the next, catching sight of the guy. He was exhilirated and Ev could relate. He had been hunting for a few years now, and he had to admit that he still got scared.
Though when he saw the van drive up, he stopped. Oh god, they were vamps. They were. Piling out of the vehicle were disfigured fiends approaching. Ev was still a fair few meters away as he darted forwards. They grabbed for the guy, who in fear screamed for reasoning. But you can not reason with a vampire. They are souless and impure. Everything the Trinity brothers were not. Ev was barely there when they began piling the guy into the van. This wasn't a kill; it was a capture. What did they want with him? The guy had no use other then being a stake-holder for a few seconds. Unless there was more to him then meets the eye. "Let go of him!". Ev screamed out as he charged towards the vampires.
Ev got there just in time to use a telekinetic control and slame the sliding van door closed on a vampires waist. They grunted in pain as they were pulled through, but Ev didn't know what to do. It had to be around ten to eleven vampires and he didn't have a brother with him or so he thought. "Binded Hecate, to your soul I weild it-". Before any magic could happen, a vampire clutched around his throat. Even before he could gasp, he was swung and thrown through the air. This time he hit the raindrops as he shot towards the wall. His head met dusted glass of a dirty window as the rest of his body hit the frame. After the smashing of glass, Ev hit the ground. A cut across his forehead and laying in rain, he rolled over.
Pain surged through his head. He was obviously concussed and through blurred vision he watched the van drive away. He also saw a wallet on the ground. He wasn't sure if it was a wallet or a blurred rock, but as he got up slowly in a drunken-like fashion, he moved towards it. Falling to his knees he grabbed for it and flicked it open. Wiping the rain out of his face, he looked at the name. It was the guy's face on the license and also a very coincidental name. Axel Evans. Putting it into his pocket, the pain ridden witch gripped onto walls and tripped over his feet as he walked his way to City Of Angels Memorial.
