She walked into Charms N Thangs, smiling to the manager who was working tonight, before walking over to where some tables where. She would wait for Everette here, before they'd go into the back or something where witches were allowed to practice spells...Granted that they purchased the ingredients and not just 'used them.' That was the good thing about this place, as normal people still wouldn't even know it hosted real magic because the spells happen in the back where nobody can see or hear the action.
Everette had asked her to come help him with a locator spell. She was never one to knock back the chance at jamming spells, she was just bewildered as to why he needed a locator spell all of a sudden. He seemed flustered, so it seemed like something was up...Something serious. She assumed she would find out soon, she hoped, but it couldn't kill the curiosity she was experiencing at the unknown. She was definantly up for helping him out though, not just because she was so kind hearted, but because she enjoyed the opportunity to create magic and spells. A location spell was some nice magic, something she'd be interested in trying out. She just hoped Everette would hurry up. He seemed like he was in a rush, and had bad reception to. She didn't know what that meant...
She opened up one of the magical books while she waited in boredom. The manager seemed to eye her curiously, which she felt was strange. It wasn't like she was doing anything wrong. Was reading a book a crime now or something?

His hood was drawn over hsi face, shades covering his tired eyes. It was lucky that Ev didn't have to work today, because he wasn't looking to good. Customers and by standers didn't stare as he stealthed passed unnoticed. But now inside the magic shop, he couldn't hide it as much. He moved with his hands in his pockets passed the manager who was staring towards a girl at the table. Thankfully it was Kyra and she had decided to listen. Ev didn't want anyone to see him like this, even though Ev popping up with black eyes or a broken leg over the past three years wasn't exactly uncommon. Walking over next to her, he looked down at her. Taking off his shades, a large cut was exposed that went from his hairline down towards his right eye. It was bruised around the crusted edges, and was held together by a band-aid. They worried about invoking hell, but now Ev was looked just like it.
It was his fault. Upon having a cryptic dream of a man getting sacrificed by a vampire, Ev had played super hero and went to save him. He did too, until the guy was kidnapped. His name was Axel Evans, who just happens to be a student at Ev's college and was only a couple of years younger then Ev. The dropped wallet where Ev learnt this from sat in his pocket because it wasn't just revealing the identity of who the guy was, but Kyra and Ev were going to harness Thea's effigy in order to shine the light to where Axel is. The magic is complex, and a lot for the two to take on but was the most effective and approachable spell to cast at this time. The ingredients and book and map sat in his sidebag as he stood by Kyra, and looked down at her with swollen eyes. "Let's go out back".
Ev looked back up to the back door and walked towards it, twisting the nob as it open and swung to a stop. He wasn't in a considerate mood today, and moved into the room. The 'unknown backroom or powerful magic' was even further out back but underground, so Kyra didn't see what was really held in this shop. In a storage closet which was probably as big as Ev's dorm room was set up, a circle of black poppy and phoenix ash cast in the middle of the room. Ev put his bag down, taking a sigh and hopign he was up for a spell of this intensity.

Seeing Everette walk in and remove the shades to reveal his brouised face confirmed her worries and curiosity into what had actually went down the night before. Seeing him like this, she knew something had gone down, and seemingly something big. She had witnessed similar occurances over the years from Everette, and although he didn't say much, she knew there was more to it than he was letting on. Since his family didn't appear to have a history of magic, she always wondered how he was able to pick it up so fluently and naturally. It also also rather frustrating, as well to see him pick it up so fast when she struggled and worked her ass off to get to the level she is currently at. He seemed to just breeze through things, and was catching up to her at an extremely fast rate, which scared her.
"Wow, Everette...You just took 'you look like shit' to a completely new level. What happened?! Are you okay?" She was worried about him, she did consider him a friend, as they had been through a lot together other the years. She didnt' like to see him like this, firstly because he was endangering himself, and secondly because she had to look at his swollen face all night, which was slightly disgusting. She hoped he would open up to her and fill her in on what happened, but who knows with Everette. He could play the mystery role really well when he needed to.
She nodded and followed him as they went into the other room to begin the spell. The difference between now and all the other times he wound up on the recieving ends of injuries was this spell; the locator spell. He had never come to her and asked her to join him in performing a spell when he was in this kind of state. Ev, you made it sound like some kind of emergency on the phone, and I can see why. But before we do this spell, if we are to harness our energies and allign with eachother, I need to be on the same wave length...Hell, maybe in the same world as you at the moment. Whats going on, and who are we locating exactly. I know Santa's been less 'giving' to us all lately, but there is no need to do a spell to locate him!" Maybe it was a bit of mindless humor, but she had to lighten the mood somehow, or at least attempt to.

He didn't have to look at Kyra's expression to see that he was looking dashing. She obviously hadn't been expecting this. Only an hour ago as he stood in front of the mirror and looked at himself, he didn't see pain as much as he did failure. Prophesized brother to protect innocents. Yet one of them was just kidnapped by vampires. He wasn't looking into the face of a champion, only a wounded vigilante. He remembered when he saved his first person. They were being attacked by a psychotic vampire with a shoe addiction but he staked the vamp and saved the day. It felt good, it felt liberating. It felt constant over the passed few years. But now things were very different. He couldn't look at himself, and now he stood in front of one of his friends, and kept his mouth shut until they got out back, dodging curious glances from his manager.
In a stressed state, Ev ripped his bag open and unloaded four white candles and sat them in a rectangle. Each pair of candles represented the witches heart and soul. Things that Ev felt like he was now missing. He slammed them down inside the circle as Kyra went on. He couldn't tell her what really happened. She couldn't know what he was. Letting his friends or more importantly, his coven, know what he was really about would just freak them. They were important to him, even the dickhead jock. He needed them. They kept something in his life so solid and apart of him from breaking apart. But knowing Kyra, she wouldn't let this go at all. Sighing, he looked down to the candles and then back up at her. His swollen green eyes weren't filled with compassion at the moment.
"A guy was jumped last night, his name was Axel Evans. He was kidnapped and I was beaten down, now I need to find him. Is that enough information for you now". He did not look or sound like Everette at the moment. He was cold, he was numb and he was full of rage. If he was an animal he would have growled at her. "Please get into the circle". Viciously the witch waved a hand over the circle and flames flared from the wicks of the dorment candles. It was advanced magic, but also the acts of an angry witch. He could have saved him, he could have done something. He couldn't rest until he saw that the kid was okay. In a way, he wasn't sure exactly why he was so interested in this one guy then others he had saved, but it was a kind of familiarity. He would figure that out once he saved him. With a spell book at hand, positioning it between them and a bag full of ingredients, he wanted to get started. They didn't have time to waste.

Kyra sighed as she saw Everette stressfully create the circle with candles and prepare for the locator spell. After a moment of watching him, she finally spoke, after listening to his explanation of the events from the previous night. "Okay...? What does this guy have to do with anything? Why are you so eager to locate him, isn't that what the police are for? You have called the police, right?" She didn't understand why Everette was getting so worked up over this boy, did he even know the boy, or was it just some strange coincidence they met? She couldn't be sure, and Everette didn't seem like he was willing to provide any further explanation or details on the events which transpired the night before. That was boys, always so stubborn and damn determine!
When he told her to get into the circle, she sighed, stepping in, watching as flames lightened up around them. She sighed, looking over at her companion. "What now?" She asked curiously, looking back over at the flames around them. She was skilled in magic, but had never had the experience of performing a locator spell before. It was new territory, which was good if she wanted to become more powerful, she just hoped Everette knew what he was doing. After all, he was in a state of desperation and under a lot of pressure, from observation, so it probably wasn't too smart to be practicing magic like this. It seemed odd coming from her, who was always so invested in the art, however she knew the time and the place for it, and whether or not it would be successful or not. Now just didn't seem like one of those times.

Ignorance wasn't really his color. Usually it was logica reasoning and putting his point forward in a kind of polite manner. This wasn't one of those times. She arose with even more questions that Ev didn't want to answer. He had shared so much with the circle. His own Book of Shadows, his secrets and desires. But he could not reveal who he really was. A protector with a destiny to rid the world from evil, blessed with advanced access to magic and the ability to see the future. It was perfect if he wanted to get locked up. So he bit his tongue, knowing that if he let on anything Xzavier would be pissed. The questions came and he lowered his head, not looking into the girls eyes as he circled the round series of candles before sitting inside. He looked towards her, trying to get her to connect with him. But energies could not cross in this state of mind that he had.
"We are going to harness the goddess Thea's, effigy in order to shine the mystic light on the location of where Axel is. Once we do that, we just follow it. It's simple as that". Emptying the bag on the ground, he revealed an incense collection, two bags of herbs and a potion vial. It was filled with the imitation of Thera's blood, a mixture of pure light and an ancient toxin he had gotten off of a demon on 5th. He was going all out for this, but he couldn't let Axel suffer to those vampires. It wasn't right, and even though he might be this super awesome vamp killer he was still human.
"Take one of these bags into your hand, and tab it over your eye lids. It might sting a little, but it has to be done so we can see the light". As he passed a bag over, the incense sparked to a burn. Magic was really handy. So with his index finger, he dabbed some of the potion onto his eye lids and around them. It didn't sting at all which was good. Well at least for about three seconds. Pain sunk into his eyes but he could rub it off. "Ah, don't rub it off Kyra". He yelled as he gripped his eyes tight as the pain subsided. "Thea's light, your divine to shine upon my face. Doubt would not cross my mind, twice over to the hellish flame bellow my feet to the skies that Olympians roar". He picked up the potion, ready to smash it down. He just needed Kyra to say the rest of the spell.

Everette did make this spell seem awfully simple. So simple that it bewildered her as to how she hadn't come across it at some point, or even attempted it for fun when improving her knowledge base. "Follow it?" She questioned with a slightly concerned face. "Not to be a total downer or anything, but you realize that by 'following' this light, we are leading ourselves right into danger of whatever the hell kidnapped this dude. Sure, we can pull off a location spell, but do we even know what kidnapped him, and if we can rescue him from them?" She knew she was capable of some pretty hectic magic, but she was still concerned at what actually was guarding him. After all, she was too young and beautiful to die. If Everette led her to her death she'd haunt him...Even if he died too.
He then further explained the process involved with the spell. She took the little bags, sighing towards Everette. "Jeez, you could've told me this before I had already applied makeup. Now its going to go all ewwy and stuff. Great, barging into an unknown location with who knows what lurking around, and I'm going to look completely stupid. If your going to get me killed rescuing this random, you can at least give me the dignity of looking good doing it." She rubbed the bag over her eye, heeding Everette's warning. It did sting for a moment, but the pain did subside soon after. Everette then begun with the spell and was ready to throw the potion. Oh goody, it was now her turn. "We seek the light, to which shines bright. Our essence used to locate what we seek now. Show us the path, shine a light." She finished, waiting for Everette to smash the potion, hoping the spell successfully worked.

Kyra was keeping calm. She was content and being herself when Everette felt like he was falling apart. He had to do this spell, and quickly. He couldn't let Axel die and he wasn't sure why. It wasn't just worry for a stranger, but something bigger then that. A deep connection to the kid and severe worry for him. As soon as this light was conjured, he would make it dormant until he got Xzavier. Kyra was worried about being subjected to following the light into danger; but she wouldn't. The Brother's would. With Xzavier's strength and Everette's magic, they would do it. They would do it and save Axel. They just had to hurry. He didn't answer Kyra's questions, but he wasn't ignoring her. He was rushed. He had to hurry otherwise it would be too late. As she chanted, he readied his self.
"Lumini!". Smashing the potion in between them, onto the sticks of incense, it make a loud bang. A spark shot from the bang, forming a misty cloud of glowing yellow energy. Ev was taken back slightly, looking into the light as it rose into the air. "Don't lose concentration!". Focusing, Ev slowly held his hand out to it. It was warm, full of purity and Ev had to harness it. Closing his eyes, focusing on his energy intuned with the magic they had made, the light sank into his palm, being absorbed into his being. Ev shivered from the energy, but successfully took it into him. The room seemed darker now, and he looked breathlessly at Kyra.
"I need to go". Quickly, Ev got to his feet. Running towards the door as fast as he could, he smashed the door open and took off towards his car. Once inside, he took his first breath. The warmth in him from Thea's effigy was amazing, but he had to see Xzavier before he went. They had to save Axel; no matter what the cost.
